Fees:
Stud Fee:$750 (includes a $300  booking fee).

Breeding to Doctor Thunder by transported semen: The stud fee includes the booking fee and your first shipment of cooled semen.

Breeding to Texans Thunder at the ranch: The stud fee includes the booking fee and chute fee. Additional charges: mare care of $12/day/dry mares; $14/day/wet mares. Any veterinarian costs are the responsibility of the mare owner. Mares must be halter broke and have a negative Coggins.
Transported Cool Semen:
First shipment of semen is included in the Stud Fee.
Semen is shipped to you overnight by Fed X (you must provide us with your Fed X account number). The semen will be shipped in an Equine Express II shipping container. If a Hamilton-Thorne Equitainer is requested, there will be a $250 deposit, refundable when the container is returned and the mare is pronounced in foal by your veterinarian. Mare owner is responsible for return postage of the container. Counter to counter airline shipment of semen is optional at an additional cost; contact us for cost and availability of this service.

Number of shipments: You are entitled to receive up to three shipments of semen during the 2006 breeding season. The first shipment is included in the stud fee. If your mare fails to settle after three shipments of semen, you will be entitled to a re-breed to the same mare in 2007, but you must pay a new booking fee at the rate being charged in 2007.

Lab Fee: $150 per shipment will be charged for a second and/or third shipment of semen if your veterinarian notifies us that your mare has failed to settle. This fee includes collection of semen and packaging in an Equine Express II container. Mare owner is responsible for Fed X charges.
Guarantees:We offer a live foal guarantee for both of our stallions. This means that the foal stands alone and nurses without assistance within 24 hours of birth.

Comments:Our stallions have been DNA typed and their records are on file at the American Paint Horse Association in Fort Worth, Texas.

We analyze and test the semen to assure that sperm count, motility, collection and packaging meet or exceed the industry standards. Our veterinarian is a specialist in reproduction and we have had excellent success in shipping semen to mares which were in good physical condition and free form health problems that would prevent them from conceiving.

Good mare management is one of the keys to high conception rates.

Long Distance breeding is a partnership where you, the mare owner, and we, the stallion owners, must work together. You must assume the responsibility to work closely with your veterinarian and with us so that we can schedule your shipments of semen in a timely manner.
